601 Street is a graphic adventure that tells the story of our protagonist, Nyssa — a young girl who, since birth, has been able to see what she calls “echoes”: shadow-like creatures that have never interfered with her life… until now.

One day, after her best friend goes missing, Nyssa uncovers the true nature of these entities and decides to solve the mystery behind them. To do so, she must overcome various obstacles while uncovering the secrets of her town and forming new friendships that will help her in her investigation.

410 years ago, in a small, remote village, a group of local leaders formed an alliance with a collective dedicated to the study of the mystical. Although these scholars did not consider themselves as such, they soon became known as sorcerers. For years, both groups worked together in pursuit of a method to leave this reality and reach a new one—one they could fully control.

This ambition demanded great resources and sacrifices. And then, finally, the day arrived.

On October 13th, 1601, a portal was opened. To test it, they chose numerous deceived victims to pass through, believing it would lead them to their new promised land. However, the portal gave no clear sign of success or failure, and with no other choice, the sorcerers and leaders themselves decided to cross, placing full trust in their creation.

Only one refused to go—a young sorcerer, frozen by fear, stayed behind. He watched as strange, terrifying shadows emerged with every person who crossed the threshold, figures radiating fear, confusion, and sorrow. He knew something was wrong. The portal had not led to paradise, but had instead torn a rift in reality—a fracture between this world and a fragmented dimension that preyed on human minds through their dreams.

After years of study, the young sorcerer managed to seal the rift. But he knew his power was not enough to keep it closed forever. Due to his limitations, the portal would reopen every ten years, pulling innocent people into it—those unfortunate enough to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Fearing the consequences, he kept the portal a secret and passed down the sealing ritual through generations, ensuring that someone would renew the seal each decade.

Until the year 2011.

Nyssa, a 16-year-old girl, has seen shadows for as long as she can remember—but never paid them much attention, preferring to lose herself in the music of her headphones. Ten years ago, her mother vanished without a trace, along with a group of people who seemed to share no connection. The bizarre disappearance faded from memory over time.

But on October 14th, one day after the tenth anniversary of her mother’s disappearance, Nyssa realizes that her best friend hasn’t shown up to class. Later that day, she discovers her friend—along with several others—went missing the day before.

The coincidence shakes her. Two disappearances, exactly ten years apart, on the same day.

Walking home through her usual shortcut, a quiet alleyway, Nyssa spots a shadow blocking her path. This time, the shadow doesn’t drift aimlessly—it’s staring at her. Driven by an unexplainable urge, she reaches out and touches it. In that moment, fragments of her friend’s mind flash before her eyes.

Shocked, Nyssa understands: the shadows are connected to the disappearances.

Realizing she may be one of the few capable of understanding what’s happening, Nyssa sets out to uncover the truth behind her mother’s disappearance, her friend’s, and the others who vanished without a trace.
